Chai Shots Private Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Chai Shots OTT platform (“App” or
“Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your information in
compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act,
2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive
Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
1. Consent
By registering for, accessing, or using the Chai Shots App, you expressly consent to the collection,
use, processing, storage, and sharing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You
also consent to the transfer of your data to trusted third-party service providers for the purposes
outlined herein, and to the processing and storage of your data on servers located in India.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal and usage information when you use the App:

We may collect and store the following information when you use our App:
Name and mobile number
Login credentials and password
Subscription and payment details
Communications sent via in-app chat or email (e.g., support queries, feedback, or survey
responses)
Any referral code used or promotional coupon redeemed
b. Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the App, we automatically collect certain information to help us operate,
secure, and improve the service. This includes:
Device and Technical Information, such as your IP address, device type, device ID,
operating system version, app version, and network provider.
Usage and Behavioral Data, including your watch history, search queries, time spent on
videos, clickstream data, navigation patterns, and interaction metrics within the App.
Location Data, such as your approximate geographic location, which may be inferred from
your IP address or device settings.
Crash Reports and Diagnostics, including system logs and performance data, to help us
identify and fix technical issues.
3. Use of Your Information
We use your information to provide, operate, and maintain the Chai Shots App and its associated
services. This includes managing your account, enabling smooth access to content, marketing
communications and ensuring the overall functionality of the platform. Your data is also used to

process subscriptions and payments securely through our integrated payment partners. Based on your
activity and preferences, we personalize your experience by offering tailored content
recommendations and viewing suggestions. We may use your contact details to send important
service-related communications, such as updates, announcements, and promotional offers, where
applicable. Additionally, your information helps us respond to your queries and support requests,
facilitated through our customer service platform, Intercom. We analyze usage patterns and interaction
metrics to improve the App’s performance, user interface, and content strategy. Furthermore, your
data plays a critical role in detecting and preventing fraud, enforcing our policies, and ensuring the
security and integrity of the platform.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. However, in order to provide our services effectively and
ensure seamless functionality of the Chai Shots App, we may share your information with the
following categories of trusted third-party service providers:
Payment Processors (Razorpay, Setu UPI AutoPay):
We share limited payment-related information with Razorpay and Setu UPI Autopay to
securely process your subscription payments and transactions in compliance with applicable
financial and data protection regulations.
Content Delivery Networks (Google Media CDN):
Your information, such as IP address and device type, may be shared with Google Media
CDN to optimize content delivery, reduce buffering, and improve your overall streaming
experience on the App.
Analytics and Attribution Tools (Appsflyer, PostHog):
We work with Appsflyer and PostHog to analyze how users engage with the App, measure
campaign effectiveness, and identify areas of improvement. These tools may collect
behavioral data such as session duration, click patterns, and device identifiers.
Customer Communication Platforms (Intercom, CleverTap):
To manage engagement, support requests and maintain a responsive customer experience, we
share relevant user details with Intercom and CleverTap, which powers our in-app chat and
helpdesk system.
Advertising and Marketing Partners (Google Ads, Meta Ads):
For promotional purposes, we may share anonymized or aggregated data with advertising
platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads. No personal identifiers (such as your name, email,
or phone number) are shared. These platforms help us display relevant ads and measure
campaign performance without compromising your privacy.
All such partners are contractually required to follow strict confidentiality and data security standards.
They are obligated to handle your data only for the purposes explicitly authorized by us and in full
compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Corporate Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other corporate
restructuring, your personal data may be transferred to the new entity. We will ensure that the
acquiring entity is bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Affiliates: We may share your information with our affiliated companies, who will process the
data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5. Legal Basis and Consent
By registering for and using the Chai Shots App, you expressly consent to the collection, use,
processing, and storage of your personal data in accordance with the terms outlined in this Privacy
Policy. This includes your agreement to the processing of your data within India, where our servers
and service infrastructure are located. You also consent to the limited sharing of your data with trusted
third-party service providers for operational, analytical, payment processing, communication, and

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This can be done through the in-app settings
or by contacting our support team. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect your ability to
access certain features or continue using the App.
6. User’s Rights
As a user of the Chai Shots App, you have certain rights in relation to your personal data. These
include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to request corrections
or updates to inaccurate or outdated data, and the right to request deletion of your personal
information from our systems. You may also request a copy of your data in a commonly used,
machine-readable format. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing
of your data at any time; however, please note that doing so may impact your ability to continue using
certain features or services within the App.
All such requests can be made by contacting us through the in-app support feature or by writing to us
at support@chaishots.in. We will respond to all legitimate requests in accordance with applicable
legal requirements and within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Data Retention and Anonymization
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this
Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically, account
and billing-related information may be retained for up to five (5) years to comply with legal,
regulatory, and operational requirements. Your watch history, interaction logs, and behavioral data
may be retained for up to two (2) years to support content recommendations, analytics, and product
improvements. If your account remains inactive for a continuous period of twelve (12) months, it may
be subject to anonymization, meaning all identifiable information will be irreversibly removed in
accordance with industry standards, rendering the data no longer attributable to you or any other
individual.
You may also request the deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through the in-
app support feature or via email. Such requests will be processed in accordance with applicable laws
and may affect your continued access to the App.
8. Security of Information
We implement reasonable and industry-standard security practices to protect your personal data and
ensure the safe operation of the Chai Shots App. These measures include encryption of data both in
transit and at rest, strict access controls, and regular system audits to detect and address potential
vulnerabilities. Additionally, we use Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies to prevent
unauthorized copying, sharing, or distribution of our content.
While we are committed to safeguarding your information, please be aware that no platform or
transmission method over the internet is entirely secure. Accordingly, you acknowledge and agree that
you use the App and share your information with us at your own discretion and risk. You are
responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. Disclaimer
The App integrates with various third-party services to deliver core functionalities such as payments,
analytics, communication, advertising, and content delivery. These include but are not limited to:
Razorpay and Setu UPI AutoPay (for payment processing)
Appsflyer and PostHog (for analytics and attribution)
Intercom and CleverTap (for customer support communication)
Google Media CDN (for fast and secure content delivery)
Google Ads and Meta Ads (for marketing and retargeting)
While we only partner with reputed providers and share data in compliance with applicable law, these
platforms may independently collect and process your information under their own privacy policies.
We encourage you to review the respective privacy policies of these third-party services to understand
how your data may be collected, used, or shared by them.
Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices, security standards, or content of
these third-party services, and your interaction with them is governed solely by their respective terms
of service and privacy policies.
10. International Access
While the App is currently offered for use within India, international users who choose to access the
Chai Shots App from outside India do so voluntarily and at their own discretion. By using the App,
such users expressly acknowledge and agree that their personal data will be collected, transferred,
processed, and stored in accordance with Indian laws, and may be hosted on servers located within
India.
Please note that privacy laws in your jurisdiction may differ from those in India, and the level of
protection available to your data under Indian law may not be equivalent to that of your home country.
By continuing to use the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to India and to its
processing as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

12. Updates to This Privacy Policy

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and
applicable data privacy and financial regulations.
Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent
courts of Hyderabad.
